Instant messaging is even more of a distraction than email as it is more intrusive. If you use something like Skype, either close it down or at the very least change your status to “Do not disturb” or “offline”.
With a cellphone, either turn it off, or put it into silent mode and check if any calls or text messages were received after you have finished your tasks.
2. Make a List
I know this tip isn’t unique and probably pretty obvious, but it really does help.
Whether you use a paper diary or an electronic form like an iPhone or spreadsheet, it doesn’t really matter so long as you can see the list and mark off the items.
One thing though is you have to be realistic about what tasks you can achieve. There’s no point in writing that you’ll create ten MOBS sites by the end of the day as that’s not achievable. You are best to breakdown the tasks into good bite sized chunks as you’ll be able to complete them and feel better about marking them of the list.
3. Limit Your Research
